What makes Storm the Gate: Woodland Warfare different from other tabletop dexterity games using discs?
While there are a litany of tabletop dexterity games that exist in this category (e.g., Sjoelen, Crokinole, Table Shuffleboard, Air Hockey), Storm the Gate: Woodland Warfare differs from other disc-based dexterity games in a variety of ways:
Storm the Gate: Woodland Warfare incorporates novel mechanics to this category of dexterity games, such as tokens with distinct and assigned abilities (for instance the aerial tokens in Woodland Warfare that are launched in the air).
The design and overall form factor of the game is unique from other tabletop games in this category in that it features a foldable/portable frame (while still retaining an impressive table presence when set up), adjustable tension settings in the bungee/shooting components, tokens of varying sizes (which ties in to the aforementioned gameplay mechanics), it is built from materials that are high quality (including wooden components), it utilizes cards during gameplay, and is driven by a beautiful fantasy theme with gorgeous illustrations.
From a rules perspective, Storm the Gate: Woodland Warfare is not turn-based, has no time limit, uses asymmetric quantities (and abilities) of tokens, and is distinct even from the classic version of Storm the Gate. We think youâre going to love the extra dimension added with the aerial, brute, and stealth tokens!

I want to pledge for multiple copies of Storm the Gate: Woodland Warfare.
Not a problem! Simply add an additional $74 to your pledge for each additional copy youâd like. Please note that additional copies of the game may incur additional shipping fees (see shipping chart on project page). When we send backer surveys out, your pledge will be used to select the multiple copies.

When will my method of payment be charged for my pledge?
Your card will not be charged until after the project has come to an end on April 24, 2020 with the project having reached 100% or more in funding. For costs specifically associated with shipping and add-ons, only after weâve sent out backer surveys (shortly after the project has ended), will backer cards be charged.

What is your refund policy?
Due to the nature of Kickstarter, we cannot offer refunds to backers once the project ends, with the exception of the unlikely instance of a defective reward being shipped out. Once the project ends, your pledges are put to use immediately to ensure that Storm the Gate: Woodland Warfare enters into mass production as soon as possible. Therefore, we cannot offer refunds once the campaign has ended.

You should add a handle to the game so that it's easier to carry!
Weâve already done that! You may have missed this detail in our video or the photos on the project page because we didnât highlight them enough, but itâs there!

The handle is great, but I wish it was metal or a sturdier material than plastic!
Thatâs another thing that may have been missed in the video and photos on the page, but all of the black hardware on the game is already metal! Using quality, long-lasting materials for this game (and all of our games) is one of our highest priorities.

How will the bungee cords wear over time?"
In our experience over the countless playtests weâve run with this game, we have yet to notice any significant level of wear on the bungee cords. That said, we will look into the best way to offer replacement parts as add-ons in the pledge manager or perhaps on our site at a later date for those who may be concerned about needing to replace these components in the future.

How will the frame/board and tokens wear over time?
As mentioned on the project page, like a fine leather, the more you use Storm the Gate: Woodland Warfare, the more character the wood may develop over time. This may come in the form of nicks and scratches to the board, frame, and tokens from normal use. Wear these as a badge of honor as it will not affect gameplay.

You should screen print artwork on the tokens or bag or game board!
This is a point that we explored in great depth throughout the design process for the game.
With regards specifically to the tokens, after playtesting with artwork lasered on the tokens themselves, we came to the conclusion that this increased cognitive load on players beyond what we were wanting. From what weâve seen, having the different classes distinguished by colors alone allows players to more easily identify the class of each token they pick up.
As for artwork printed on other components, such as the canvas bag, this is certainly something weâve considered as well. As this increases manufacturing costs and one of our goals with this project is to be able to bring a high quality wooden dexterity game to as many people as possible (at a price that is as accessible as possible given the quality of the game), we decided against that. With that said, things can change over the course of projects we run on Kickstarter, and depending on the funding we end up raising over the next 2 weeks, we may revisit this.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backersâfrom shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaignâs project teamâBackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesnât work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkitâ in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the projectâs status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
